About Us

Loving in Truth began with a burning God placed in our hearts in 2020.

That vision grew out of our own stories—our experiences with trauma, addiction, healing, restoration, and discovering for ourselves that God is a good Father and that He is for us. He is not angry with us. He loves us as we are, not as we should be.

None of us are perfect, yet He meets us right in the middle of our mess, our questions, our pain, and our becoming.

And if that is how God loves us, we believe the Church should be willing to meet people there too.

The world is hurting, and love has been distorted in so many ways. But Scripture calls us to love in truth—to truly see people, value them, and walk alongside them as they discover the freedom, healing, identity, and purpose available in Christ. Loving people where they are while believing they were created for more has become part of the passion God placed in our hearts.

Since God first gave us this vision, He has been doing just as much work in us as He has been doing around us. Individually and as a couple, He has spent years building the infrastructure within us to carry what He is calling us into. As He has shaped us, He has revealed the vision one piece and one step at a time.

Watching something that once existed only as a vision and a burning in our hearts become a reality has been a beautiful testimony of God’s faithfulness and of what can happen when we choose to keep walking in faith.

Our hope for Loving in Truth is much bigger than us. We long to see people restored, communities strengthened, and the body of Christ working together. Our hearts are especially connected to Florida and West Virginia, and we believe God has called us to serve and build in both regions while remaining open to wherever He leads.

We believe deeply that no single church, ministry, or person carries the whole picture. We each have a part to play, and we want to come alongside those already being the hands and feet of Jesus in their communities—serving together rather than building separately.

We also dream of building a Loving in Truth community where people can grow in discipleship, find genuine connection, and know they have a place at the table—whether they live in Florida, West Virginia, or halfway across the world.

What We Believe

We believe in the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and affirm the Nicene Creed.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for our sins, rose from the grave on the third day, and that salvation is found in Him alone.

We believe the Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost and is still active in the world today, bringing the fullness of His presence, power, and work to move among us.

We believe all the gifts of the Spirit are alive, active, and needed, and that every part of the fivefold ministry described in Scripture is essential to equip and strengthen the body of Christ.

Above all, we desire to remain rooted in Scripture, led by the Holy Spirit, centered on Jesus, and committed to loving God and loving people in truth.
